What happened to the videos?

As you may or may not have realized, there are no videos for month 9, 10, and now 11.

Why? What happened? Are you still alive Lauren?

Yes, I’m still alive.

The last couple of months have been a little crazy with a new role at work, traveling, and getting started with new ventures.

Now is this a good excuse? Absolutely not. And I apologize to anyone who was really looking forward to those monthly videos.

But who was? Honestly, I didn’t get a lot of feedback about the videos so I really thought no one was counting on them. I know, I know, I should have continued doing them for me, but I just couldn’t muster up enough motivation for myself.

So month 9 and month 10, I actually did take a break from studying Arabic because of my new role at work.

Month 11 (November), I have actually been studying again. YAY! But I started focusing on the Lebanese dialect of Arabic, so I’m still in the early stages and I feel like if I put out a video now, it wouldn’t really show any progress because I’m starting from almost the beginning again. It wouldn’t really be a sequential flow.

Also, I have an AWFUL rash on my face, and I refuse to record that on video. I thought about recording with the camera directed at something else, but the words were also not there, so I wouldn’t want anyone to waste a minute of their life watching that very boring video when you’ve already had your fair share of my struggle videos.

Maybe these are more excuses. I don’t know. But,

There will be a final month 12 video.

I will make sure of it. I just hope my face goes along with this plan. And if you want to help me get motivated to do more, PLEASE leave me some comments of encouragement to help me finish off the year. They will really help me and then I can provide more excitement and beautiful Arabic for you!
